For those with LPG connection, Bank account has become a necessity now. From 1st January Government of India is transferring the LPG subsidy directly into bank account of the LPG subscribers. This is being done under the PAHAL Scheme launched by Petroleum Ministry of India.

This scheme is aimed at ensuring that every LPG subscriber receives his/her LPG subsidy on time and in their bank account in form of cash, thus eliminating black marketing of LPG cylinder. To join this scheme it is essential that you link your LPG connection with a bank account.
